Alicia Tjelmeland here– I’m a wife and mom of 3 living in Ely, Iowa. As a lifelong writer, I finally decided to launch this site in July 2025 as a way to get all of my words in one place.

If you know me, you’ll know I’m passionate about many of the things our culture tells us not to discuss. Politics, religion, the Bible… In this season of life, you’ll also find me writing about parenting and what it continually teaches me.
Additionally, I’ve been a lifelong sports fan and enjoy how athletics can shape culture and vice versa, so writing about sports is a compulsory outlet for me.

One of the reasons I started this site is because of encouragement from friends and family members. My hope in life is that my words will always be God-pleasing. My prayer is that these words would spark discussion, provoke deep thought, and bring joy, clarity, or comfort to those reading them.
1 Timothy 1:15-16
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners– of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.”
